Heating & Cooling, Ready for the Season
Diagnosis-first repairs and clean installs — built to hold up.
Built for real systems — airflow issues, aging equipment, and seasonal demand.
For homeowners deciding between repair, replacement, or a maintenance plan — not just a quick patch.
Diagnosis First
Root-cause repairs based on testing — not guesswork.
Safety & Code-Correct
Gas, venting, and combustion handled properly — no shortcuts.
Airflow & System Balance
Comfort depends on distribution and controls, not just equipment.
Built to Hold Up
Clean installs and planned maintenance reduce repeat breakdowns.
Comfort depends on the whole system — airflow, controls, safety, and equipment working as one.
FOR HOMEOWNERS PREPARING FOR THE SEASONHeating & Cooling Repairs, Built to Hold Up
Choosing an HVAC contractor is a reliability decision. Our work is built for situations where comfort and safety can’t be left to chance — and where the right diagnosis prevents repeat breakdowns.
We approach heating and cooling as a complete system: equipment, airflow, controls, venting, and combustion checks handled together — not in pieces. That’s how repairs hold up, installs stay clean, and comfort stays consistent room-to-room.
If you’re preparing for peak season, we can help you decide whether repair, replacement, or a maintenance plan makes the most sense — with clear answers and work that’s built to last.
The services below reflect the systems we design and build most often. Each is approached with the same discipline: deliberate planning, correct sequencing, clean detailing, and on-site oversight through completion.
We provide repair, installation, and maintenance for:
- Furnaces (gas)
- Heat pumps
- Air conditioners
- Boilers
- Water heaters (tank & tankless)
- Gas lines
- Ductwork (retrofits & installs)
- HRVs
- Gas fireplaces
- HEPA / air filtration
- Thermostats & controls
- Light commercial RTUs & exhaust
Also available: BBQ & gas stove installation and gas pool heater service.

Where Diagnosis Changes the Outcome
Heating and cooling problems don’t always come from the unit itself. Many “repeat fixes” trace back to airflow, controls, venting, sizing, or safety constraints that weren’t addressed the first time.
These aren’t categories we market with gimmicks — they’re situations where correct diagnosis, code-correct work, and clean installation standards determine whether you get reliable comfort or repeat breakdowns.
No Heat / Repeat Breakdowns
When a system fails inconsistently, the solution isn’t guesswork — it’s diagnosis. We identify the root cause, confirm safe operation, and repair what’s actually driving the failure so the issue doesn’t return.
Boilers & Hydronic Systems
Boilers require a different troubleshooting approach than forced-air equipment. We service and maintain hydronic systems with attention to controls, safety, and reliable heat delivery — especially in older homes.
Cooling Performance (AC/HP)
Cooling problems are often sizing, airflow, refrigerant performance, or control issues — not just “low cold air.” We assess the system as a whole, then repair or tune it so your home holds stable temperature and humidity through summer peaks.
Uneven Temps / High Bills
When comfort varies room-to-room, the problem is often airflow, duct issues, or system mismatch. We identify restrictions and imbalances, then correct the setup so performance becomes predictable and efficient.
Gas Safety & Venting Repairs
Gas work demands safety-first decisions and code-correct routing. From gas lines and venting to combustion checks, we handle repairs and installations with the seriousness they require.
Seasonal Tune-Ups (Maintenance)
If you prefer preventing breakdowns over reacting to them, planned maintenance is the best lever. We tune and assess systems so they run cleanly, safely, and efficiently — especially heading into peak seasons.
Share a few details and we’ll respond with a clear direction on fit, scope, and next steps.
Most landscape failures happen at grade changes, drainage paths, and transitions — not in the stone or plants themselves.
Why Choose Shades of Green LandscapesMost landscape problems don’t come from materials
They come from early decisions — or decisions made too late. When water movement, base preparation, and sequencing aren’t resolved upfront, issues show up later as pooling, shifting pavers, soft edges, muddy zones, and plantings that struggle.
What That Means for You
System-First Planning
Drainage, grading, hardscape, planting zones, and transitions are designed to work together. Nothing is improvised. Nothing is left to “figure out on site.”
On-Site Oversight
Your project is managed through construction to ensure accuracy, clean execution, and consistent detailing — not just at the beginning, but through final finishes and adjustments.
Clear Communication, No Pressure
We guide the process with straightforward recommendations, realistic timelines, and a team that respects your property. You’ll understand what’s happening, why it’s happening, and what to expect next.

No sales pitch — just a clear path forward, based on how the property actually behaves.
What a Discovery Call Includes
If you’re planning a landscape build and want clarity on the right scope, we’ll help you confirm fit, priorities, and next steps.
Book a Discovery CallSelected Work
A small selection of completed heating and cooling upgrades that reflect our diagnosis-first approach, clean installation standards, and results built to hold up.
Oil-to-Gas Furnace Upgrade (2-Stage)
A quieter, more efficient heating system — with airflow corrected for consistent comfort. This older home moved away from an inefficient oil furnace to reduce fuel and insurance costs while improving temperature control. We adapted to the existing ductwork, balanced airflow room-to-room, and completed a tidy, serviceable venting layout.
Wall-Hung Boiler Install for a Tight Home
A high-efficiency boiler system built for a renovation where ductwork wasn’t an option. Electric baseboard heat was removed, and the new heating plan needed to fit cleanly inside a laundry closet to save space. We installed a wall-hung boiler paired with hydronic wall heat and a heated towel rack, with a clean piping layout designed for a confined area.
Cold-Climate Heat Pump + Propane Backup
A reliability-first upgrade replacing an inefficient oil furnace and an air conditioner that needed constant repair. We installed a cold-climate heat pump paired with a high-efficiency propane furnace for backup heat, and relocated the indoor system to improve airflow distribution. The result was quieter operation, more consistent comfort, and significantly reduced fuel consumption.
